“This establishment presents a straightforward, convenient option in the town centre, where the pub atmosphere is notably welcoming and the prices reasonable. I found the homemade chips and the hot sharing platters to be exactly what one expects from solid pub fare, served with commendable speed. For an overnight stay, the rooms are nicely appointed, beds comfortable, and the staff friendly - making it a place I'd consider returning to, especially given the quality of the ale and meals available downstairs.”
